March 23 - Last day for board of elections to receive application by mail or online portal for an absentee ballot for the Presidential Primary Election .
April 1 - Last day to apply in person for an absentee ballot for the Primary Election.
April 2 - Last day to postmark an absentee ballot for the Primary Election. (Must be received at the Board of Elections no later than July 4th, military ballots by July 4th.)
April 2- Last day to deliver in person an absentee ballot for the Primary Election to the County Board or Poll Site, by the close of polls.

February 27 - First day to sign designating petitions.
April 1 through April 4 - Dates for filing designating petitions (from 9 am to 5 pm).
April 4 through April 7 - Last days to file general objections to designating petitions. Within 3 days after petition is filed)
April 7 - Last day to accept or decline designation (4 days after the last day to file).

May 30 through June 6 - Last days to file specifications for objections to independent petitions. (Within 6 days after general objections are filed.)
May 31 - Last day to accept or decline independent nominations.
June 3 - Last day to fill vacancy caused by declination.
